Kodungallur Circle

The Circle was designed as Kodungallur Police Circle and it started functioning from 20.09.2008 in a new building as per GO(MS) 134/2008 Home Dated 22.08.2008 with head quarter at Kodungallur including Kodungallur and Mathilakam Police Stations. The Circle Office is a two storey government building that consists of 6 spacious rooms, a sit-out, 3 toilets, a work area, etc. The building was constructed by the Kerala Police Housing Construction Corporation. The building stands on the side of Police Station Road. The Circle Office has been constructed adjacent to the old Police Station and Police quarters. The Circle Office building is situated in Survey No. 549/5 in Lokamaleswaram Village. The Circle office and the old Police Station have an area of 81.30 cents. Kodungallur Circle consists of Two Police Stations and one Control room, namely Kodungallur, Mathilakam police station and Control Room Kodungallur. Before forming this Circle, Kodungallur and Mathilakam Police Stations functioned under Mala and Valappad Police Circles respectively. Kodungallur Police Circle has an area of 118.09 Sq. Km. Mathilakam and Kodungallur Police Stations share 65.31 Sq.Km and 53.59 Sq.Km respectively.

Mala and Irinjalakkuda Circle are shared Easten side of Kodungallur Circle, Vadakkekkara circle lying on south side, Vapalad circle is laying on North side and western side is Arabian Sea.
